IT'S OVER! THE FINAL I-35 OVERPASS OUTREACH IN WACO! On Saturday, May 25, Pro-Life Waco delivered its final and exuberant overpass outreach on this wonderful edifice of steel and concrete. However, you can still watch the great video of our closing event create by the ever-creative James Bezdek. PLW’s first overpass outreach was on January 22, 2015. The I-35 pedestrian overpass has been demolished to make way for an expand I-35 construction project through Waco. We've had quite a run. Hundreds of Central Texans have participated over the 4+ years. We had over 20 life defenders participating Saturday. The final two overpass events have been particularly powerful because the traffic proceeded at a very slow pace through the underpass because of the I-35 construction in Waco. The thousands of travelers both from the North and the South had plenty of time to view our signs and respond. Many honks. A few negative hand signs and epithets shouted. The positive relative the negative was beyond 10 to 1. We pray that we strengthened pro-lifers, effectively challenged abortion defenders, and possibly played a part in moms' decisions for life. A new Panera Bread opened a couple years ago at the foot of the overpass. As in the past, we capped off our joyful outreach with a delicious meal and good fellowship at Panera bread, paid for by Pro-Life Waco. I regret that Interstate 35 overpass outreach will no longer be in the quill of Pro-Life Waco. Other arrows will become available as we battle for those who can only squirm away from the deadly tools of abortionists.
